Eagles Club, Fergus Falls

Fergus Falls, MN  56538-0812

To our PF Members and Friends,

We hope to see you all at our upcoming annual banquet at the Eagles Ship for a night of fun and fund raising,all for the benefit of wildlife habitat and the folks that value this resource.   We have included an order form for you to purchase tickets.  We again will have seating at tables, as requested, on the main floor. And we will be auctioning off a northern MN fishing trip on Lake Kabetogama (see included flier).

One of the great features of Pheasants Forever is:

All proceeds raised by our Chapter stay with the Chapter.

So how do we spend the available funds?

Engaging youth in shooting sports, hunting, and habitat.

1) We conduct a youth shoot (trap), and a youth pheasant hunt at a hunting preserve. We also provided initial support for youth trap teams in Fergus Falls, Rothsay, and Underwood, and help them secure PF grants for additional support.

2) We also provide PF Ringneck memberships to firearm safety class members in Fergus Falls (average of 50 per year).

3) In 2016, we worked with Morning Son School to establish a Pollinator Habitat Plot of 3 ac on the Fergus Falls State Wildlife Management Area. This involved over 60 students as well as many veterans from the adjacent Veterans Home.

Habitat, Habitat, Habitat

1) Otter Tail PF just received the Conservation Excellence Award from PF for $4,000,000 in contributions toward local habitat and conservation projects;

2) Otter Tail PF just acquired 160 of land in SW Otter Tail County, which adds to the list of over 2000 ac of land recently added to state and federal wildlife areas locally;

3) Partner ships with other local clubs to establish and improve habitat on public lands;

4) Financial support for a local PF Farm Bill Biologist who works with private landowners to establish habitat on marginal farm land;

5) Financial support for PF's Legislative Action Fund which impacts federal farm programs such as CRP.

Hope to see you on April 8th. Get your order in early to take advantage of special offer!
